Mineduc dio a conocer los resultados de la Beca Nuevo Milenio.

La Beca Nuevo Milenio tiene como objetivo promover la igualdad de oportunidades a través del acceso a la educación técnica de nivel superior de estudiantes con condiciones socioeconómicas deficitarias. Está destinada a los egresados de enseñanza media municipalizada, de colegios particulares subvencionados o corporaciones educacionales sin importar el año de egreso, manifestó el SEREMI de educación.
La autoridad educacional agregó que esta beca financia la totalidad o parte del arancel anual por un máximo de 400 mil pesos
A este beneficio postularon los alumnos que reunían los siguientes requisitos:
- Ser chileno
- Declarar que dada sus condiciones socioeconómicas y las de su grupo familiar necesita ayuda para el financiamiento de sus estudios.
- No tener titulo técnico de nivel superior
- Tener un promedio de notas de enseñanza media igual o superior a 5
- Matricularse en 1° año en algunas de las instituciones que el ministerio de educación ha considerado elegibles o institutos profesionales autónomos acreditados según corresponda.
Las postulaciones se realizaron desde al 9 al 24 de marzo de 2007, a través del sitio Web: http://www.becas.cl y creditos.cl . En la misma página los interesados ya pueden consultar el resultado de su postulación.
