Es miércoles por la tarde y veinte adultos mayores se reúnen en un barrio talquino a pintar sueños y esperanzas. Lo hacen literalmente, pincel en mano, sintiéndose protagonistas de una historia que comenzaron a forjar desde la nada.
“Nunca había pintado y ahora, hacemos cuadros que nisiquiera imaginamos que podríamos crear”, dice Irma Rojas, integrante del Taller de Pintura del Club del Adulto Mayor Los Girasoles del INP.
Su experiencia, es la misma que han vivido Cosme Muñoz, Rosa Donoso, Sadina Morales, María Campos, Liliana Ávila y el resto de los integrantes, liderados por su presidente Jaime Muñoz.
Todos, sin distinción, declaran que la experiencia de formar parte del taller ha sido para ellos, enriquecedora y gratificante. “El taller nos ha cambiado la vida, hay gente que nunca había pintado y otra, que lo había dejado de hacer hace muchos años y ahora nos encontramos con obras hermosísimas. Descubrimos que había un espíritu creativo guardado y la señora Fanny nos ha guiado muy bien en el aprendizaje” resume Jaime Muñoz.
Y es que no podía ser de otra manera, cuando el grupo -surgido con el apoyo de la Sucursal Talca del INP- tiene como monitora a Fanny Ross, docente jubilada y destacada artista plástica talquina. Junto a ella y aportando lo mejor de sí, cada integrante ha dado forma a hermosos cuadros que serán exhibidos a la comunidad a finales de este año.
