La actualización del Índice de Actividad Económica en el Maule es un tema que preocupa a las autoridades económicas de la región, pero mejorarían los índices sustancialmente si éste se actualiza o seguiríamos abajo en las encuestas.

Pero también se ha generado un debate en cuanto a lo poco actual que sería la medición del INACER, pues hay muchas empresas que quedan fuera, ya que hace 10 años no existían, lo que baja los índices, no tomando en cuenta su producción, inversión y ganancias.
¿Qué es el INACER?
El Índice de Actividad Económica Regional, entrega la evolución tendencial de la economía regional en su conjunto, estimando los ritmos de aceleración, estancamiento y/o desaceleración.
El cálculo del Índice compara la producción actual con la producción promedio del período base, valorada a precios iniciales. De esta forma, la variación del INACER sigue la evolución de la producción física y no presenta distorsión “nominal” por efecto de cambio de precios.
En el INACER están representados 9 sectores de la economía, que son: comercio; industria manufacturera; transporte y comunicaciones; electricidad, gas y agua; servicios financieros; construcción; silvoagropecuario; propiedad de la vivienda; y otros servicios.
Cambios en el INACER
Para algunos el indicador es mentiroso, pues hay muchas variables que no considera, pues no existían hace 10 años, y hoy son gravitantes en la economía regional, como la fábrica de cartulinas de Yerbas Buenas, Cementos Biobío y Coexca.
Hay otros, que señalan que si se deben incorporar empresas, pero sigue siendo un indicador adecuado, es decir, su actualización no cambiaría mayormente las cifras finales.
Empresarios y autoridades de gobierno regional está en conversaciones para actualizar los datos, las conclusiones de estas gestiones se darían a conocer en los próximos días.
