Los obispos y pastores de la Iglesia Evangélica llamaron, durante la ceremonia, a trabajar por un Chile que entregue mayores oportunidades a todos. Lo que fue destacado por la Mandataria, quien indicó que "es el mismo llamado que nosotros podríamos anhelar. Que todo el país trabaje en la misma dirección, por un país más justo, que no discrimine y que otorgue oportunidades a todos", afirmó.
Al término del Te Deum, la Jefa de Estado valoró la invitación del pueblo evangélico "al gobierno, a los empresarios, a los trabajadores, a las iglesias. A todos, para que nos sumemos en esta tarea. Es un llamado que me alegra y que sin duda cuenta con todo mi respaldo para que trabajemos juntos", manifestó.
Destacó que la creación de la Comisión de Equidad apunta justamente a esta tarea, "donde están convocadas las distintas iglesias, las distintas perspectivas y también los distintos sectores, porque esta tarea es una tarea de todos. Porque para que Chile seamos, efectivamente todos, para que todos tengan más oportunidades, se requiere el compromiso de todos", sentenció.
