Curicó Inició Campaña “Al Trabajo en Bicicleta y Seguro”

Furgones y motos policiales, ambulancias, bicicletas -con dos medallistas panamericanos incluidos- y un impresionante despliegue de los servicios públicos involucrados, se tomaron literalmente la Plaza de Armas de Curicó, para dar un impulso sustancial a la campaña preventiva “Al trabajo en bicicleta y seguro”, del Comité Regional de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales en la Región del Maule.
La actividad, constituyó el lanzamiento oficial de la campaña realizada por el Comité Provincial de Prevención de Riesgos en Curicó y contó con la participación de empresas adheridas a las mutualidades, quienes firmaron una carta compromiso para difundir las medidas preventivas entre sus trabajadores.
Durante el desarrollo del evento, el INP Prevención para Todos, distribuyó entre los asistentes y transeúntes material informativo y recomendaciones para el desplazamiento seguro en este frágil medio de transporte. Un momento importante del evento, lo constituyó la entrega al director provincial de Educación de un CD -preparado por las instituciones que integran el comité- que contenía recomendaciones específicas sobre esta materia, con un fuerte énfasis en la responsabilidad que tienen las personas a la hora de conducir una bicicleta. Su objetivo es lograr difusión entre los estudiantes y de esta manera, reforzar la iniciativa a nivel familiar.
La participación de los medallistas panamericanos del ciclismo, se incorporó como parte de la estrategia de difusión, considerando que la campaña se lanzó en Curicó, considerada la ciudad capital del ciclismo chileno.
La campaña proseguirá en los próximos días con un trabajo de difusión en terreno que abarcará las rutas a Sarmiento y Lontué, localidades que concentran gran flujo de bicicleta por la actividad agrícola productiva ubicada en sus alrededores.
Cabe recordar que el propósito final de esta campaña es ayudar a cuidar la integridad física y la vida de los trabajadores, especialmente en esta temporada, donde el incremento de las faenas agrícolas de temporada aumenta el flujo de ciclistas por carreteras y caminos interurbanos.
