Totem con Gstreamer
Si queremos usar Totem con Gstreamer, el Motor de reproducción por defecto debemos instalar los siguientes paquetes:
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-pitfdll
Lo cual podemos hacer usando synaptic :
Sistema --> Administración --> Gestor de paquetes Synaptic
buscamos los paquetes deseados y seleccionamos
Algunos tienen dependencias, es necesario aceptarlas
Una vez marcados todos los paquetes y dependencias pinchamos en aplicar
Nos aparece la siguiente ventana de Resumen:
Aplicamos los cambios para ser instalados, luego comienza la descarga de paquetes y posteriormente la instalación.
Una vez completo esto, tenemos ya instalados códecs multimedia para Totem con Gstreamer.
Obviamente no es la única alternativa que tenemos, por ejemplo si queremos usar Totem con Xine para lo cual instalamos de la misma manera los paquetes
• libxine-extracodecs
• totem-xine
También tenemos otras opciones, como por ejemplo si queremos instalar Mplayer instalamos el paquete mplayer, para VLC instalamos el paquete vlc y XMMS lo podemos instalar xmms, todo desde el mismo synaptic.
