El diputado Sergio Correa, informó que la Cámara de Diputados aprobó la rebaja al impuesto de las gasolinas, iniciativa que también introduce estímulos para fomentar el crecimiento y el desarrollo económico. La tasa a reducir en el impuesto específico a las gasolinas, alcanza las 3,5 UTM por metro cúbico, lo que incidirá en forma importante en una disminución en el precio a público de las bencinas.
El proyecto aprobado por la Cámara Baja, también elimina desde enero de 2009, el impuesto a las transferencias electrónicas, giros desde cajeros, cheques y traspaso de fondos de cuenta corriente. También, la iniciativa amplía los límites que determinan el número de empresas que pueden acogerse a pagar impuestos sólo al momento de retirar utilidades, o a tener un sistema simplificado de determinación de sus impuestos.
El diputado Sergio Correa aplaudió la iniciativa del Gobierno, asegurando que el proyecto enviado por el Gobierno, va en la línea de lo que la Alianza quiere. "La verdad es que nobleza obliga a aplaudir al Gobierno cuando presenta un buen proyecto. Aplaudimos al Gobierno en esta ocasión, porque este proyecto considera tres rebajas tributarias, que es algo que la Alianza ha venido pidiendo hace mucho tiempo, y que parte de la riqueza por el mayor precio del cobre, no se la gaste el Gobierno, sino que sea distribuida entre todos los chilenos".
Finalmente, el diputado Sergio Correa sostuvo que con esta ley, que ahora discutirá el Senado, los chilenos se verán aliviados en algo de la gran carga que ha significado el alza tanto de los precios de los combustibles, los alimentos y tantos otros servicios básicos que se ocupan en el diario vivir.
