Hace tres años que dos familias de Rauco organizan el Campeonato Provincial de Clubes, y luego de cuatro meses de competencia, el domingo 3 de mayo se disputará la final en el Estadio Municipal de Rauco.
La idea de realizar un campeonato de fútbol surgió por la necesidad de dar una mejorar educación a sus hijos, es por eso que Godofred Fuentes y Eduardo Arenas, quisieron organizar un evento deportivo a nivel provincial de calidad, para lograr su objetivo, pero además para abrir un espacio de recreación entre los participantes de este campeonato.
Los partidos se realizaron todos los fines de semana desde enero a la fecha, en los que participaron cerca de 1600 jugadores de los 16 equipos en competencia.
Y luego de cuatro meses llegó la esperada final. Este domingo 3 de mayo a las 15:00 horas será el último partido del campeonato, en el que se enfrentarán Dos Estrellas, de Curicó y Los Lirios, de Sarmiento, en el Estadio Municipal de Rauco.
El Campeonato Provincial de Clubes, que cuenta con el apoyo de la Municipalidad de Rauco, se realiza por tercer año consecutivo y como premio tiene un millón y medio a repartir.
