Con siete años de existencia la "Orquesta Mayor de Chile" dirigida por el maestro Luis José Recart (ex Orquesta Moderna de Chile) ha estrenado obras de los compositores más representativos de nuestra realidad nacional y en general un repertorio que abarca desde el Barroco hasta música contemporánea.
La Orquesta ha sido invitada en reiteradas ocasiones a los mas importantes festivales de música tales como: Festival de Música Contemporánea de la Universidad Católica, Festival Internacional de Cine de Viña del Mar, Festival Mozart de Valdivia, Festival de cuerdas frotadas Quito, Festival de música de Cochabamba, Festival Internacional "Entrecuerdas", Festival de Guitarra Ibero Americano, y ha sido Orquesta del Primer Concurso Nacional de composición "Luis Advis" (área música Docta), entre otros.
Dentro de sus registros sonoros (CD) se cuenta con 6 grabaciones, 2 de ellas financiadas con proyectos Fondart ganados.
