El Hogar de Cristo Sede Maule, sus fundaciones asociadas y la Fundación Padre Hurtado de cobertura nacional, invita a toda la comunidad a participar de una campaña en cuanto a vivir una Navidad de Verdad, centrada en el mensaje que regala Jesús con su nacimiento.
Para ello, se redactó un decálogo con las diez acciones para vivir una Navidad de Verdad. La idea, es promover en los chilenos un sentido más austero para celebrar el nacimiento de Jesús, a través de simples acciones que no requieren de dinero para llevarse a cabo.
Las acciones que se recomiendan para una Navidad de Verdad son:
1. Arme un pesebre entretenido con sus hijos y cuéntele la historia de Jesús. Invítelos a seguir su ejemplo.
2. Haga un juguete con cosas viejas o material desechable y juegue con sus niños, que sientan el regalo como una demostración de cariño.
3. Invente una representación con ellos de lo que pasó en Belén. El nacimiento de la persona más importante que ha pisado la Tierra.
4. Escriba una carta para reconciliarse con quien tenga en el olvido.
5. Reparta sonrisas en el día del nacimiento del niño Jesús.
6. Vaya en familia a la misa del Gallo o canten villancicos en su hogar.
7. Invítele una taza de te o una cena de Noche Buena a un familiar solitario. Hágale saber que siempre estará acompañado por Dios.
8. Arme una conversación familiar donde cada uno cuente lo bueno del otro.
9. Salga a la calle en la noche a visitar a los niños Jesús de hoy, que deambulan por la noche sin un Hogar que los proteja.

Además, desde el lunes 11 y hasta el Viernes 15 de diciembre los niños pueden hacer llegar las tarjetas a los diversos recintos del Hogar de Cristo, ya sea en Curicó, Constitución, Linares, Parral y Cauquenes.
