Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, se podrá encontrar en las librerías del Reino Unido, EE UU, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Sudáfrica a partir de la medianoche del sábado 21 de julio, a un precio de 27,20 euros. (14.900 pesos aproximadamente). Luego podrá llegar a Chile.
El día de lanzamiento de la última entrega del joven Potter, que se traducirá a 64 idiomas, coincide con el décimo aniversario de la publicación de Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal, el primer libro de unas aventuras que se convertirían poco después en un fenómeno mundial de la literatura y el cine y también la primera obra de su autora, Joanne K. Rowling.
Sobre los rumores que hablan de que Harry Potter muere, escritora afirmó que seguirá con el misterio hasta que lean el libro, pero que “para desazón de los miles de seguidores del aprendiz de mago, en Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows morirán dos de los protagonistas, aunque se salvará un tercero”.
El anterior libro de la serie, Harry Potter y el príncipe mestizo vendió dos millones de ejemplares sólo en el Reino Unido el primer día en que salió al mercado, con lo que se convirtió en el libro de éxito editorial más rápido de la historia.
