Debido a que es un momento de reflexión, las iglesias de Talca, Curicó y de la costa han preparado actividades para lo fieles.

El miércoles Santo 4 de abril, se celebrará la Eucaristía de Renovación de los compromisos sacerdotales, a las 20:00 horas, en el Templo Catedral. A esta celebración asisten todos los sacerdotes de la Diócesis para renovar su compromiso de entrega total a Dios y a la Iglesia; misa que será presidida por el Obispo de Talca, Monseñor Horacio Valenzuela Abarca.
Esta celebración es conocida como “Misa Crismal”, pues en ella el Obispo consagra los óleos que durante el año serán usados en los sacramentos del bautismo, orden sacerdotal y unción de los enfermos.
El Jueves Santo, 5 de abril, se revive la Misa de “Última Cena del Señor”, con la cual Jesús instituye la Eucaristía. El Jueves Santo es también el día del amor y la fraternidad. Jesús declara a los cristianos amigos y no servidores. Nos da el gran mandamiento del amor y lo expresa en el lavatorio de los pies. El Papa, el Obispo, el sacerdote repiten este gesto significativo, haciéndose servidores de los hombres.
Para celebrar Jueves Santo, los cristianos de la Diócesis se reunirán en sus capillas y parroquias
